About Islamic Tourism Month

Islamic Tourism Month (ITM) 2025 is an innovative event by Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) that showcases Malaysia’s diverse Islamic Tourism and Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality (MFTH) experiences to both local and international tourists.

The entire month, from 18 August to 30 September 2025, features a string of activities and promotions related to Islamic Tourism experiences for the public, tourists and entrepreneurs alike.

Amazing deals for a limited time!

Exclusive offers and promotions will be made available according to the following categories: accommodation, travel packages, spa and wellness, shopping and retail, food and beverages, events and exhibitions, mosque open day, and seminars and training.

Inviting the entire community to come together, ITM 2025 will spotlight Mosque Open Day, special deals for hotel stays, attractive offers to the vibrant well being and spa scenes, incredible discounts at Malaysia’s dynamic retail outlets, and more.

Among the amazing deals are special offers on delicious cuisine such as Middle Eastern food and halal burgers; while galleries will promote their exhibitions on Islamic art, highlighting the beauty and significance of Islamic artistic traditions throughout the month. In addition, wellness offerings by spas enable visitors to experience pampering treatments steeped in Nusantara heritage. Hotels all around Malaysia will open their doors with exclusive room promotions to the public.

Muslim-Friendly assurance

ITM 2025 is also a showcase of ITC’s hotel partners who have received the Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality Assurance and Recognition (MFAR). MFAR is an extension of MOTAC’s star rating system and is the first Islamic tourism-related recognition in the world that is issued by a government agency.
