🕌 Masjid Jamek Muhammadi
Sejarah dan Keunikan Arkitekturnya ✨
Masjid Jamek Muhammadi was originally a wooden structure built in 1867, known as Masjid Besar Kota Bharu or Masjid Kayu. 🪵
In 1922, a concrete building replaced the wooden mosque and was officially opened on Friday, 31 July 1931, when it was renamed Masjid Muhammadi after Sultan Muhammad’s ancestor. 🏗️
On 16 July 2024 (10 Muharram 1446H), the name was officially changed to Masjid Jamek Muhammadi by order of MAIK with the consent of His Royal Highness Sultan Muhammad V. 📜
The mosque features British architectural influence, visible in the large ornamental columns inside and outside the building. 🏛️
